Despite what it sounds like, the band is not a solo project of someone named Alice Donut, even as their stage name. The band is a full fledged band, releasing six records in their initial run on Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label. They broke up in 1996 but reunited in 2001 and have stayed active since.
