Here is a circa 1900 two piece ensemble comprised of a skirt and blouse made of very fine lawn cotton
visible in the photos - I think that this is original to the making of the piece and an attempt to further create the look of enamel on metal as I cant see how else that this could have happened
one at the right shoulder area and one at the centre upper back (see second and third to last photos)
