The piece is made of superior quality silk and based on a Napoleon scarf design by Philippe Ledoux. The original Napoleon scarf was issued in 1963 and then re issued in 1985 and subsequently. I believe that this piece dates to the 1960s due to its style and short length too long to be a blouse and doesnt really fit into the styles of the 1980s or 90s. Ive owned this blouse for 35 years
