Ciner used 18k gold plating and faux pearls that were imported from Japan that were made of glass, which was coated several times to create the glow of cultured pearls. Mark: CINER the use of a sans serif Ciner mark would seem to indicate a manufacture date of pre 1980s. Ciner was founded in 1892 as a fine jeweller, but began production of quality costume jewelry during the early 1930s, basing
