The serial numbers do match shipping records and on the back of the camera is a very faint engraving of "Luftwaffen Eingentum" (translation: Air Force Property) that was painted over by a previous owner. Such coverings are common for these cameras as the owners did not want to be associated with the German military after the war yet wanted to use
